Continuing Chapter O N E
London McClain had met Melissa three years ago and they had been inseparable since. She was a real sweet girl, coming from a real small and sweet family. London had a big heart and the way Melissa did her was fucked up, but no one could do anything about it. London was faithful and hated Melissa’s cheating ways, but she loved her nonetheless. Melissa’s siblings knew that they would be together forever. That’s just how shit worked.
“Hey ya’ll.” London spoke sweetly and everyone greeted her. Melissa sat down after saying ‘hello’ and pulled her girl onto her lap while ordering them something to drink.
Hours had flown by as the family continued to sit and drink. Zion was completely fucked up, only a swig of Hennessy remaining inside the glass bottle. “Did she really drink all of that?” Nick asked, lifting the empty bottle up so everyone could observe.
“I told her dumb ass not to get drunk. She don’t listen.”
“Fuck off Mel.” Zion slurred as she stumbled to her feet.
“Where the hell do you think you are going like that?” Cassidy, who was also the eldest of the seven at age twenty-six, asked as she grabbed Zion’s arm to prevent her from tumbling down to the floor. Zion rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth.
“I can handle myself Cass.” She snatched her arm back and stared down at the club through the glass window. She wasn’t looking for anything or anyone in particular, but once a certain female caught her eye, she grew furious. “Yo, ain’t that that bitch who jumped Tessa a few weeks ago?”
Tessa was the youngest and the last child from the Amoretti’s. She was sixteen years old- the baby.
Donna and Melissa stood to their feet and glanced down to see exactly whom the female was. Once they caught sight of her, they all nodded to answer Zion’s question.
“I’m going to kill her.” She spoke through gritted teeth.
“No you’re not Zee. You are way too drunk.” Manny finally spoke up, “So sit your ass down.”
“Bet.”
“Please stop!” The female begged as Zion continuously threw forceful punches to her face. She balled into a fetal position, not trying to defend herself, which pissed Zion off more. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. It won’t happen again.” She cried harder. Zion then unraveled her fists and slapped the young girl as hard as she could. The connection of her hand and the girl’s cheek echoed throughout the bathroom, causing a stinging sensation on both women’s ears.
Outside of the bathroom door a quarrel was beginning between the siblings. Donna, Melissa, and Isabella stood blocking the door while Manny tried to get past them. He was pissed off because he told Zee not to put her hands on the girl and she did it anyways. He understood that she was mad at the girl, but she could’ve been rational and waited until she was sober and in the right mind.
Emanuel could have easily beat the hell out of his sister’s to get them out of the way, but he wasn’t the one to put his hands on women. He tried talking it out of them, but the three sisters were not cooperating.
“Ya’ll know mom and dad are going to kill us if they finds out that Zion killed someone in their club. Ya’ll know how they are about fights and shit inside their businesses.”
“The bitch jumped Tessa, Manny.”
“Mel I understand that, but can’t she kill the girl outside of the club or something? I don’t give a fuck what she does to the girl, just get that shit out of here.”
The three women looked at each other and thought that what Manny was saying was actually true and reasonable.
“Okay,” they sighed in unison as they stepped to the side. Emanuel pushed the heavy door open to find Zion stomping the girl’s face in with her stilettos. Zion heard someone walk in, but she never stopped her movement. She was going to kill the girl- no matter who witnessed it. Manny called Nick inside the Women’s bathroom to grab the victim while he took hold of his sister. Zion’s body stiffened in his arms, but then she relaxed.
“Donna tell one of the janitors to come fix this bathroom up. We don’t want customers walking in here with blood and shit on the floor.”
“Alright.”
The rest of the family exited the club through the back doors and Manny escorted Zion to her car, along with Melissa and London.
“Melissa please drive.” Manny spoke tiredly.
“I can drive myself. I’m cool.”
“No you’re not. Just let her drive Zee.”
“Okay, okay.”
End of Chapter ONE
