Chapter 1 |Dreaming|

Crying can be heard from throughout the room, echoing off of the cold hospital walls. Being an onlooker, I watched as the masked doctor and nurses cut the umbilical cord of the new baby that was brought into the world. The woman panted after giving birth to her new baby, but she seem to have stared at me although her face look blurred in my vision. I walked around the way into the room as the hollering of the new born continued to progress. Why did this woman want me to come in here I wonder?

The doctors deepened voice spoke, “What would you like to name her?” he asked staring at the tiresome woman.
“Cla…” she began to say, but the sound of thundering had deterred my attention.

My eyes fluttered open from such a weird dream. Unknowing of what to make of it I just laid there listening to the sound of rain hitting against the window pane. Feeling a bit of insecurity, I rolled over towards Marcus who lay here next to me looking so at ease in his slumber. A smile came across my face thinking we have been away from so much drama in these past couple of months. We didn’t hesitate to move away leaving behind unwanted memories. Our men cleaned the death filled place the next day as Marcus insisted leaving only questions on the minds of Mexicans where is Javier at now? Well, only we knew the answer to that and it will remain a secret.

Marcus budge a little from my movement, and began to speak.

“Something wrong?” he asked in a deep voice that turn me on.
“No. Go back to sleep.” I suggested.
“I can once you stop moving.” he joked leaving it at that.

The peaceful sound of the rain held me in a trance on the dream I just awaken from. Lately I’ve been having the same dreams, or dreams that relate to the birth of a child. I’m unsure of what that meant but I guess it will reveal itself in due time. My body curled next to Marcus warm body thinking about the fun we plan to have with little Zay for his 2 year birthday party. I have a lot to do so I better get some sleep.
