We sat at the bus stop waiting for the bus patiently as the sunset slowly began to set in the horizon. Thoughts flashed into my mind about earlier today as tears began to well in my eyes. I soon diverted my attention to my dear sister who is swinging her legs to and fro on the bench. When I glance up back towards the street, I notice someone staring at me in a newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee waiting at the stop light. I quickly shift my eyesight back towards Kaleigh who is now speaking to me.

“What is it Kay?” I asked her looking her in her eyes.
“I have to go to the bathroom.” she said.

I release a deep sigh. “Why are you just telling me this? I asked getting up to see if the bus is on its way yet.
“Because I didn‘t have to go when I was in the store.” she whined switching in her seat.

No buses in sight. We only had a few bags so I gathered them up in my hands and quickly grabbed Kaleigh’s hand guiding her back towards the store. Walking back in, I head towards the back where the restrooms are.

“Put tissue on the toilet, flush, wash your hands, and do not touch anything with your bare hands after they are clean.” I told her as she scooted into the bathroom. I stood by the door waiting for her when I noticed a figure walking towards me in my peripheral vision. Looking up it was him…the man from the club.

“Can I help you?” I asked with so much attitude.
“I didn‘t know there was a McDonald‘s in here.” he joked which I didn’t take that nicely.
“Who the hell you think you are stepping up to me like that?” I said showing my normal attitude.
“I‘m sorry…Look, I noticed you was waiting for the bus, I just wanted to offer you and your little girl a ride home before dark sets.” he said looking me dead in my eyes.
“That is my little sister first of all, and you came all the way in here just to offer me a ride. What‘s the deal? First you try to rescue me from my ex and now offer me a ride. What‘s the deal?” I asked not understanding the extra mile he was taking.
“Nothing. I was just asking since I had remembered you from the other night.” he said.
“Well, I shall decline the offer. No offense, but I don‘t know anything about you which means you are a stranger. Goodbye.” I said waving him off as the door open from the restroom.

Kay walked out looking at the male who still stood in my presence.

“Who is he?” she asked.
“I am Orlando…Just asking your sister if you two would like a ride rather than waiting for the bus.” he explained to her.

She held a smile on her face but look at me mostly. She tug on my clothing. “Can we? I hate waiting for the bus.” she said.

I looked at her wanting to please her, but then look at him. He is very handsome, but for some reason I do not trust him.
